Botox is a prescription only medicine manufactured by Allergan and is a fridge line toxin. It works by blocking the nerve impulses in all injected muscles. This prevents muscles from contracting leading to temporary and reversible relaxation. It is made up of Botulinum toxin type A, free from complexing proteins, and each vial contains solution for injection.
Botox is indicated for the temporary improvement in the appearance of upper facial lines in adults when the severity of these lines has an important psychological impact for the patient.
Refrigerated products must be kept between 2-8 degrees
